Boys Cross Country Team wins 1st place for season

The Madison Academy boys cross country team placed first overall in the Tennessee Christian Athletic Association for the 2015 season this fall.  An award was presented to the team at assembly by Bill Richards, President of the TNCAA.

Basketball teams split at Mount Juliet Christian Academy

The Lady Knights varsity basketball team defeated the Mt. Juliet varsity basketball team 32-30.  Morgan Currie was the teams highest scorer with 18 points.  The overall team record improved to 5-2.   The Knight varsity team was defeated by the Saints 59-31.  Tony Adalla was the lead scorer for the Knights with 9 points.  The teams overall record evens out at 3-3.

The next game is away at Jo Byrns High School on Thursday, December 3.  The girls game starts at 5:30pm and the boys game at 7:00pm.

Both basketball teams lose at Red Boiling Springs High School

The Lady Knights varsity basketball team lost at Red Boiling Springs High School by a score of 22-54.  This is their second loss in as many days.  The team record is now 4-2.  The Knights varsity basketball team lost as well by a score of 58-87.  The boys team overall record is now 3-2.

The next game will be an away game playing Mt. Juliet Christian Academy.  The girls game starts on Tuesday, December 1 at 5:30pm and the boys game starts at 7:30pm.  This will be the second and final time these teams will play each other this year.  In the last contest MJCA won both games.

Both the Girls and Boys Basketball varsity teams experience first loss of the season

In the match up last night at the Madison Academy Gym, both Mt. Juliet Christian Academy and Madison Academy girls and boys varsity teams were undefeated.  At the end of the night Mt. Juliet Christian Academy remained undefeated.  In a close match the Lady Knights lost by a score of 29-26.  Morgan Currie was the high scorer with 13 points. The team record falls to  4-1.  The Knights boys varsity team also lost to the Saints 56-40.  Their team record is 3-1.

The next game is tonight, November 24th at Red Boiling Springs High School.  The Lady Knight game is at 6pm and the Knights start at 7:30.

Girls and Boys varsity basketball teams continue win streak at GCA

The Lady Knights varsity basketball team defeated the Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguars 55-39 to remain undefeated during the regular season.  Their overall record is 4-0.  The team plays again at home this Monday night against Mount Juliet Christian Academy.  The game starts at 5:30.

The Knights varsity basketball team also won by a score of 56-46 and remain undefeated with a 3-0 record.  This is the first time Madison Academy basketball teams defeated GCA since participating in interscholastic sports program.  The boys team plays at home Monday night versus Mount Juliet Christian Academy.  This game starts at 7:00pm.

Lady Knights basketball team wins again

The Madison Academy Girls varsity basketball team defeated Davidson Academy 46-17.  Morgan Currie and Abigail Anderson scored 13 point each.  The teams overall record improves to 3-0.  The Knights play Georgia-Cumberland Academy this Saturday evening.

Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams extend win streak

Tonight the Lady Knights defeated the Pleasant View Christian Warriors by a score of 49-39.  Morgan Currie was the high scorer with 18 points. The Lady Knights record is now 2-0.  The Knights varsity boys team also defeated the Warriors varsity boys team by a score of 60-38.  Nathan Johnson and Tony Adalla both scored 11 points and Josh Mixon, Tyrell Gentle and Langston Martinez each scored eight points.  The boys varsity team improves to 2-0.

The girls next game is in two days on Thursday away at Davidson Academy.  It starts at 4:30.  Then both the girls and boys team travel to GCA for two Saturday evening games, November 21.

Madison Academy has Talent

Budding musicians, comedians in training and other talented students participated in the Talent Show sponsored by the Acros gymnastic team.  The evening started with Jordan Brown on the piano playing a jazz piece.  Donovan Allen also played the piano but did a classical piece.  Andy Burnham played a ragtime arrangement.   In the second half Alyssa Ware played “Beauty and the Beast”.  Christina Mercado and Jackson Wood had a piano/flute duet.  Mr. Pichette, Mike Downs, Shawn Monroe and Aidan Kroll played “Pinball Wizard”. Some miscellaneous talent included Lucas Monroe-Haiku, Cody Tishaw, Jake Johnson, Brianna Underwood and Julianne Plank did the “The 12 days of Christmas”.  The act won the Grand Prize.  Andrew Ware did a dramatic reading. Zach Levinskas did yo-yo and was the category winner. The drama team id a comedy skit and Megan Pichette did Hula.  The vocals were done by James Jackson, Sara Adalla, Kristen Levinskas and Rose Benoit.  Grant Kennedy sang “Stand by Me” while the category winner was Megan and Bryce Flatt signing “Can’t Help Falling in Love”.

The judges were Jimmy Closser, RN; Alise Taylor, Military spouse; Jeffrey Fisher, Veteran V.A. Chaplin; Lemmy Recinos, Engineer and Ingacio Silverio, Pastor.

Veterans Day Tribute
