Madison Academy hosts Volleyball Play Day

Madison Academy hosts its 3rd Annual Volleyball Play Day August 3rd, 3-8pm and 4th, 2-8pm.  This year this event will be played in the Madison Academy gym and the Madison Campus Elementary Gym.  Twelve teams are participating this year and include Madison Academy varsity and jv, Pleasant View varsity and jv, LEAD Academy varsity and jv, Middle TN Heat, Hendersonville Christian, Franklin Classical, Collegedale Academy, and Franklin Christian Academy varsity and jv.  The cost of admission each day is $5 a person, $2 for children 6 or older.  Concessions will be offered throughout this event.  Here is link to the schedule of games.

Night for Knights Athletic Awards Banquet

Madison Academy invites you to the annual Night of Knights Athletic Awards Banquet on Sunday, May 3 at 5 PM in the Madison Campus Church Fellowship Hall (607 Larkin Springs in Madison).  Rod Reed, TSU’s Head Football Coach will be our guest speaker, followed by an award ceremony for our athletes.  Tickets for the dinner and program are $25/person.  Proceeds support the Athletic Department.  Purchase your tickets online at MadisonAcademy.com or call 615.865.4055 to reserve them.

March Madness All Night Basketball Tournament

Madison Academy’s Athletic Department is hosting March Madness All Night Basketball Tournament on March 28 beginning at 7:30 PM (Captains meeting at 7:15 PM).  Teams must have 2 ladies on the court at all time.  Cost: $10/player.  Sign up by emailing aadams@MadisonAcademy.com or call 615.878.9769

Soccer season begins

The Madison Academy co-ed soccer team started its season with a 6-0 win over Lancaster.  Follow the team here with this link.

Swim Coach of the Year

Dan Johnson was awarded Coach of the Year for Division I in Middle TN by the Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association.  He has been coaching a co-op swim team including Madison Academy, Merrol Hyde Magnet School, and Station Camp High School for four years.  This year’s team won the Division I title and has a state champion in two events. Congratulations Mr. Johnson!

Girls and Guys basketball teams win championship

The Madison Academy Lady Knights won the Division 2 championship at the Andrews University Cardinal Classic Basketball Tournament.  Later that night the boys varsity basketball team won the Division 2 championship.  This is the 3rd year of the interscholastic athletic program at Madison Academy.  Abigail Anderson was selected MVP on the girls side and Kelvin Del Valle was selected MVP on the boys side.  You can watch the games on youtube.

Knights and Lady Knights both are in the championship game

The Madison Academy boys basketball team and the girls basketball team reached the championship game in the Andrews University Cardinal Basketball Tournament.  You can watch live at 5:45pm CST for the girls championship game and 7:00pm CST for the guys.  Both teams are playing in the Division 2 championship game. Mr. Johnson states, “It will be an all Knight game.”

The final games of the regular season for the JV and varsity boys basketball as well as varsity girls teams are this week.  Once done the varsity teams will go to Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan and participate in the Cardinal Classic Basketball Tournament.  Click on the links to see how each team did and the results of the Tournament at AU.

Athletics Department reopens store for Christmas

The Madison Knights store is open until December 22, 2014. No orders will be filled until after the December 22nd deadline. Orders will be fulfilled and delivered (or shipped) on January 5, 2015. All products can be customized to include your respective sport and/or name. Sports will decorated below the MA logo; names will be decorated on the opposing chest. MA Dress code is still in effect, however, athletic polo’s can be worn on game day by players.

 

Basketball season starts at CAYA Jamboree

The Basketball season starts at Collegedale Academy on November 8 in the Jamboree for the boys and girls varsity and JV teams. Madison Academy will compete against teams from Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Georgia-Cumberland Academy and the host team Collegedale Academy.
