Poetry Out Loud

We are incredibly proud of our students… all of whom have chosen to DO SOMETHING HARD!!!!  Madison Academy is participating in this year’s Poetry Out Loud competition, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.  Class competitions were held the last two days. The top students from each class will compete at our school finals competition on Wednesday, January 25 during our 11 AM assembly.  We encourage the community to come to this event on Wednesday, January 25 at 11:00am in the chapel and support our MA students in their literary endeavor.  The winner of the school competition will be eligible to compete at the state championship in Nashville in March!

Here are the participants in the school-wide competition: Freshmen-Andre Crayton, Robyn Forde Whitefield, Pax Fordham, Sean Moore, Joy Osborne, Kris Ware; Sophomores-Rose Benoit, Will Buzby, Jake Johnson; Juniors-Jordan P. Brown, Leah Holloway, Brianna Underwood, Jackson Webb; Seniors-Myles Limonta, James Jackson and Andrew Ware.
