Madison Academy and Madison Campus Elementary recognize their athletes

Last night in the Madison Academy gymnasium the Booster Club provided a light dinner and the coaches gave out awards to their players.  At the conclusion of the event, Sarah Adalla and Ian Petersen were announced as the Madison Academy Athletes of the year.  This event was live streamed for those who could not attend in person.  To see the archived program go to our Madison Academy Online channel on youtube channel.

Basketball season finishes with win at Franklin Road Christian

The girl’s varsity team defeated the Franklin Road Christian girls in an away game 35-30.  The Lady Knights finish the year with a 14-2 record and 9-3 tournament record.  In the Andrews University Tournament, the girls played into the championship game but lost to the defending Michiana team from last year.

The boy’s varsity team finished strong by playing well in the Andrews Tournament and finishing in 4th place in the Division II bracket.  The team played its last game at FRC and won.  They finished the year with a 5-11 overall record and 5-8 in tournament play.

Basketball teams head to Andrews University

The Madison Academy basketball teams are headed to Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan to participate in the Newmeyer Classic 2017.  The 11 member girls team is led by Coach Perkins and Sonja Underwood.  Their overall record this year is 13-2.  The tournament begins on Thursday, February 2 and the Lady Knights playing two games [10:20a-GCA; 8:50p-AJC] with at least one more [9:50a-CA] on Friday.

The Knights, coached by Alex Adams begin their play at 12:40p-GRS and again at 7:40-ARB.  Here is a link to the AU Basketball Tournament schedule.  All times listed in this article are CST, however on the AU pdf the times are EST.

Senior night for Madison Academy varsity basketball teams

Last night the seniors on the varsity basketball teams were recognized for their participation and efforts on the basketball team.  Parents were also recognized for the support and encouragement they give their teens.  The girl’s team won and improved their record to 13-2.  The boys played well and worked hard but lost.  The boy’s team record is now 4-11.

Madison plays in MLK Basketball Tournament at Collegedale Academy

Over the Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, Collegedale Academy hosted a boys and girls basketball tournament that included teams from Andrews Academy, Georgia Cumberland Academy, Mount Pisgah Academy and Tennessee Christian Preparatory School [TCPS]. The Madison Academy Lady Knights finished in 2nd place in their division.  They played Andrews Academy varsity, GCA varsity and Collegedale Academy jv to get to the championship game.

The Madison Academy Knights played the Andrews Academy varsity, GCA varsity and Collegedale Academy jv and placed 4th in the tournament.  The team played well but lost some very close games.

Madison splits with Christian Community Schools in basketball games

Yesterday the varsity basketball teams from Madison Academy and Christian Community Schools competed in an away game.  The Lady Knights won their game and improving their overall record to 12-1.  In the late game the Knights lost and fall to 4-10.  Both teams travel to Collegedale Academy for an MLK Tournament.  Here are the box scores from last nights games.

Madison splits with West Academy in basketball games

The varsity girls and boys basketball teams traveled to West Academy last night.  The Lady Knights improved their overall team record to 11-1.  The Knights lost and their overall team record is now 4-9.  The next game is Thursday night at Christian Community School. Madison Academy lost to Lancaster Academy in boys varsity basketball game

Last night the Madison Academy girls varsity team played the Lancaster girls jv team and won 47-14.  This improves the Lady Knights overall record to 10-1.  The boys lost in a lopsided game and their record falls to 4-8.

Madison Academy splits varsity basketball games with Mount Juliet Christian

Last night in an away game the Madison Academy Lady Knights defeated the Mount Juliet Christian girls basketball team 26-21.  The Lady Knights overall record improves to 9-1.

The next game is an away game at Lancaster with the boys varsity game starting at 7:30 and boys jv at 5:00 and girls jv at 6:00pm.  This is the first game of two this season. Last year the boys team split the series and lost to Lancaster in the TNCAA tournament at the end of the season.
