Volleyball and soccer teams participate in NACA tournament

The varsity girls volleyball team and the co-ed soccer team traveled to Dayton, Tennessee to participate in the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) annual tournament.  This years volleyball team enters with a 13-5 record, the first winning record since the program began.  The soccer team plays most if its games in the spring however in order to prepare for this tournament the  soccer team arranged a few games but came away win less. Boys place 1st in cross country meet

The official results from the cross country meet at Dayspring on October 20th place Madison Academy boys in first place.  The first four overall to cross the line were Ian Peterson, Jack Wheeler, Jordan P Brown and Ben Shepherd.  Zachary Levinskas improved his time by over a minute in this race and finished 5th from our team.  The final cross country event is scheduled for Dayspring, Thursday, October 29.

On the girls side Marlana Bell finished 1st overall with a time of 22:15 and with Rose Benoit finishing 3rd overall.

Lady Knights finish regular season with a win

The varsity girls volleyball team defeated Lancaster Christian Academy 3-0 in their final regular season game played at Madison Campus Elementary and finished with an overall record of 13-5.  The seniors on the team, Cyrah Laird and Amy Sanderson, were recognized for their participation and effort in making this team special.  The team will participate in the National Association of Christian Athletes volleyball tournament, October 27-October 30, 2015.

Boys Cross Country team finishes 2nd

The cross country team participated in a meet at Lancaster on Thursday, October 15th and placed second overall. Ian Peterson led our team effort with a time of 23:31.  Our second place team member was Jack Wheeler with a time of 26:38.  The final two team members finished within a minute of each other: Joshua Mixon-29:00 and Zachary Levinskas-29:55.

On the girls side Rose Benoit and Marlana Bell finished 1st and 2nd overall with times of 28:43 and 29:25 respectively.  The next cross country meet is at Dayspring, October 20th.

Cross Country boys team places 8th

The cross country boys team placed 8th in the latest meet held October 13th.  Ian Peterson again finished first on our team with a time of 21:16.  Jordan Kittles was the team’s second place finisher with a time of 23:31.  After Jordan came Jordan Brown in 24:11. The final team member, Zachary Levinskas, finished with a time of 27:57.  There were not four girls that ran in order to get a team score however, Rose Benoit ran and finished with a time of 24:13.  The next meet is October 15th at Lancaster.

Lady Knight Volleyball continues win streak

The girls varsity volleyball team won the match versus Collegedale Academy 3-1 to improve their overall record to 12-5 and a two game win streak.  The final game of the regular season is at home versus Lancaster Christian Academy on Tuesday, October 20th at 6pm.

Boys cross country team competes at Curry Ingram

The boys cross country team had more than four participating in the event so we placed sixth as a school.  Here are their results.  Ian finished 16th overall.

Lady Knights varsity volleyball team wins match

Madison Academy Girls Varsity Volleyball beat Christian Community High School 3-0.  Their record is now 11-5.  Here are the stats from the game.  The next game is an additional match on Sunday, October 11, in the MA gym playing Collegedale Academy. This match starts at 10am.

Lady Knights lose to USN

The varsity girls volleyball team had their five game win streak come to an end.  USN won the match in three games.  The girls overall record falls to 9-5.  The Lady Knights will try to start a new winning streak at their next game here at home against Christian Community High School starting at 5:30.

Three compete in cross country meet

Monday, three boys from Madison Academy competed in the cross country event at Curry Ingram. Ian Peterson’s time was 19:49, Ben Shepherd ran the race in 24:27, while Jordan Kittles finished with a time of 25:16.  Four team members are needed to compete as a team so at this competition out team ran as individuals.
